Although the exact launch date is still unknown, leaks indicate that Oneplus 12 will arrive in India in January next year. If this is true, Oneplus should start teasing the launch in India shortly after its launch in China. The official listing of Oneplus 12 also reveals the design of the phone.

The device will feature a quad-camera system on the back, supported by Hasselblad. The design looks similar to the previous version, but it seems that Oneplus has made cosmetic changes. The upcoming Oneplus phone will be presented in new colorways. The official image on the Indian website indicates an attractive green color with a marble back panel. Video teasers released for China reveal that Oneplus 12 will come in three colors – white, black, and green.

While specific details are still unknown, we know about some key features that Oneplus has confirmed so far. The device provides a BOE ProXDR display with 2K resolution and a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits. It has also received an A+ certification from DisplayMate, meaning it is one of the best displays. Powering the device will be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Oneplus 12 will also feature a new X-axis motor for the next generation. The device runs on ColorOS 14, based on the latest Android 14 operating system.

In the imaging department, the quad rear camera system will include a Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. The company has yet to confirm other details.

Remember that Oneplus 11 was launched in India with a starting price of INR 56,999. Its successor, Oneplus 12, could be available in a similar price range. The price is expected to be either the same or slightly higher, depending on how the company plans to attract customers and compete in the market. Oneplus has consistently competed by offering spec-heavy phones at slightly lower prices compared to other popular flagship phones. The company may continue with this strategy to entice customers in the future.
